Development Log / Direction / Info / Ramblings
I realise that content creation using ‘AI’ or ‘LLM’ completely defeats the purpose of creating engaging, correct, and meaningful content. Being a 25-year SEO professional, I also understand that releasing properly formatted content is increasingly difficult and more expensive than most small businesses can budget for. We’re at a point where large corporations understand the value of SEO and properly deployed content. This has been increasing the cost of content creation over the past 10 years.
With the cost of operation being so high, I wanted to make a tool that allows business owners to generate content that is already structured for SEO so they can hop in and edit rather than spending days writing and editing. I know how frustrating it can be to juggle a full workload while trying to keep your site competitive in search rankings. A lot of times, it’s easier to start with an example rather than trying to start from scratch. This system is built to deploy entire content systems as structures and scaffolding to be modified and built upon.
I started this project a year ago and have been tweaking it to where it is right now. I’ve recently been able to get an MVP online and ready for public use, which is available on the front page. My goal is for the API to be easy-to-use with no client login or monthly fees. This will be pay-as-you-go and as easy to use as possible.
This system is an Active API that takes input of a ‘keyword,’ ‘title,’ ’email,’ and ‘style.’ The ‘keyword’ tells the system what topic to focus on, while the ‘title’ generates a post header based on SEO principles. The ‘style’ input allows customization, making it fit your brand voice effortlessly. This means that it can be integrated into any automation flow or current analysis software. It can also post directly to WordPress and other popular Content Management Platforms. On our development server, we can launch the API with a document of 10,000 title/keyword combinations, and it will iterate through the list, deploying content at a specified interval. When the application is done, it interlinks all the posts that were created.
For example, a small business owner in retail could feed in a list of their top products and get SEO-optimized content in minutes instead of weeks. By the end of this project, we should be able to deploy a robust content structure that is perfectly aligned with SEO and ready for content creators to start editing.
Below is a list of what I plan to do as well as what’s been done. This will be ongoing, and I’m always looking for ways to make it better. If you’ve got ideas, I’d love to hear how this system can better serve your needs.
